How Does It Work?

Cholesterol is formed by an enzyme HMG-CoA reductase in the body. The medicine inhibits this enzyme and consequently reduces the levels of cholesterol and bad cholesterol (LDL levels) in the blood. It increases good cholesterol (HDL levels).
