Medical Description
Aldigesic-SP tablet is a combination medicine containing aceclofenac, paracetamol, and serratiopeptidase, which is used to relieve pain and inflammation associated with arthritis and post-surgery. Aceclofenac and paracetamol act as painkillers by reducing pain and inflammation, while serratiopeptidase reduces swelling in the affected area. - If you have an allergy to paracetamol, aceclofenac, serratiopeptidase or any of the other ingredients of Aldigesic-SP tablet.
- If you have a history of allergy including asthma, skin rashes or a runny nose after taking medicines like Ibuprofen and Aspirin.
- If you have ever experienced severe allergic reactions.
- If you have a history of frequent stomach ulcers or bleeding.
- If you are suffering from any heart diseases like heart failure and high blood pressure.
- If you have problems with kidney and liver function.
- If you are pregnant (especially after the 3rd month of pregnancy).

- You have asthma as this medicine can worsen the same.

- Aldigesic SP tablet reduces pain and swelling due to bone and soft tissue injury and post-operative swelling, redness and pain. It should not be used for treating any condition other than that specified by your doctor....
- Do not take more than the daily prescribed dose of Aldigesic-SP tablet, as it contains paracetamol and taking paracetamol in excess can affect the liver or kidney.
- Before taking this medicine, inform your doctor about all your medications and medical history.
- Nausea, diarrhoea, indigestion, stomach pain and dizziness can be seen as side effects of this medicine, if side effects bother you please inform your doctor.
- Dizziness can occur in some patients after taking this medicine, avoid driving or handling any heavy machinery unless you feel alert.
- Take Aldigesic-SP tablet with food to avoid stomach upset or nausea.
- Do not take any other paracetamol-containing products while taking this tablet.

How Does It Work?
- Aceclofenac and paracetamol act by interfering with the production of a chemical substance called prostaglandin which is responsible for the swelling and pain.
- Serratiopeptidase acts by repairing the tissues and thus decreasing the swelling around the infected area.

Interactions with other medicines
- Do not take any other medicines containing Paracetamol or Aceclofenac as there is a risk of liver damage.
- Some medicines can affect the way the Aldegesic-SP works or the Aldegesic-SP itself can reduce the effectiveness of other medicines taken at the same time.
- Tell your doctor about all the medicines, supplements or herbals you are currently taking or might take to avoid any possible interaction.
- Especially, if you are taking medicines to treat high blood pressure, heart failure, high/abnormal cholesterol levels, blood thinners, anti-infectives, anti-diabetics, anti-asthmatics, pain killers, immunomodulatory medicines or medicines for the brain-related disorder....
