Medical Description
Ondem-MD 4 tablet is an antiemetic medicine. It is used for the prevention and control of nausea and vomiting. Ondem-MD contains ondansetron as its main component. Nausea and vomiting is not a disease but is caused due to certain underlying condition or as a side effect of certain medicines.
This medicine works by blocking the action of certain natural chemicals which causes nausea and vomiting. Allow the tablet to disintegrate on the tongue before swallowing with saliva. Water administration is not required. The tablet should not be chewed. Vomikind Md 4mg tablet, Zofer Md 4mg tablet, Ondet Md 4mg tablet, Periset Md 4mg tablet, and Ondiron Md 4mg tablet are a few more medicines that also include ondansetron as their main component.
You must take the precise dose advised by your doctor. Before using Ondem MD 4, discuss with your doctor your complete medical history, including all medications you are presently taking. Inform your doctor if you are experiencing fluid loss, dehydration, or a salt imbalance.
Uses
- Ondem-MD 4 tablet is used to prevent and control nausea and vomiting caused due to chemotherapy and radiotherapy associated with cancer
- It is also used to relieve symptoms of nausea and vomiting before and after surgeries and operations
Contraindications
- If you are allergic to ondansetron or any the other component of Ondem-MD 4 tablet.
- You should not take Ondem MD-4 with Apomorphine, the medicine used for the treatment of loss of muscle control and muscle stiffness in Parkinson's disease

- Take Ondem-MD 4 tablet as advised by your doctor
- Place the tablet on the tongue and allow it to disintegrate, then swallow with saliva.
- Administration with water is not necessary. The tablet should not be chewed.
