Medical Description
Zerodol-SP is used to treat pain (moderate to severe). It also helps in treating pain that is accompanied by swelling and inflammation. Zerodol-SP is a combination medicine used to relieve throbbing toothaches, painful joints, or swelling after an injury from three different aspects. This medicine provides fast-acting relief.
Zerodol-SP is a prescription painkiller. It contains aceclofenac, paracetamol, and serratiopeptidase as its main ingredients. Aceclofenac and paracetamol are painkillers, and serratiopeptidase is an enzyme that breaks down the substances that cause swelling and promotes faster healing.
The most common side effects of Zerodol-SP are related to the stomach, such as nausea, indigestion, stomach pain, and diarrhoea. To avoid these issues, it is important to always take the tablet with food or a glass of milk. You should never take this medicine on an empty stomach. Avoid drinking alcohol while taking Zerodol-SP, as this can severely increase your risk of stomach bleeding and liver damage.
The usual dose for adults is one tablet, once or twice a day, as prescribed by a doctor. You should never take more than the recommended dose. Zerodol-SP is intended for short-term use only. If you have a history of stomach ulcers, kidney or liver problems, or if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, you must consult your doctor before taking this medicine. If your pain does not improve after a few days, stop taking the tablet and seek medical advice.
Uses
- For tooth Pain and toothache: When you have a toothache, the pain is often caused by inflammation in the gums or the tooth's pulp. Zerodol-SP for tooth pain works because aceclofenac and paracetamol block the pain signals, while Serratiopeptidase reduces the gum swelling, providing complete relief from the throbbing pain and discomfort.
- Relief from Joint Pain (Osteoarthritis & Rheumatoid Arthritis): Zerodol-SP is widely prescribed to manage the pain and inflammation associated with joint conditions. In osteoarthritis, it helps relieve the pain from cartilage wear and tear. In rheumatoid arthritis, it helps reduce the painful swelling and stiffness in the joints caused by the body's immune system attacking them.
- Back Pain, Neck Pain, and Spondylitis: For conditions such as lower back pain, a stiff neck, or ankylosing spondylitis, Zerodol-SP provides relief by reducing inflammation in the spine and relaxing the muscles.
- Post-Surgical Pain and Swelling: After a minor surgery or a dental procedure, the body's natural response is to create inflammation and swelling at the site. The Serratiopeptidase in Zerodol-SP helps to clear away the excess fluid and proteins, reducing swelling and bruising, which in turn speeds up the healing process.
- Pain from Injuries (Sprains and Strains): For sports injuries, sprains, or muscle strains, Zerodol-SP works to alleviate the immediate pain, control the inflammation, and reduce the swelling, helping you recover more comfortably.

- Zerodol SP can be used to treat the pain, inflammation, and fever associated with tonsillitis; however, it is a prescription medication that should be taken only as directed by a physician. It is not an antibiotic and will not treat an underlying bacterial infection if present.

It may be taken on an empty stomach, before food, or after/meal, as advised. Ensure you follow your routine and complete the full course. Your doctor provides the schedule to ensure the medicine works effectively.

Mode of Action
How Does It Work?
- The Zerodol-SP tablet works by combining three powerful ingredients to fight pain and swelling from multiple angles. It doesn't just mask the pain, but actively addresses the root cause for faster relief and healing.
- Aceclofenac is a key anti-inflammatory ingredient. It works by blocking certain chemicals in your body that are responsible for creating pain and inflammation signals. By stopping these "pain messengers" at their source, Aceclofenac effectively reduces the redness, warmth, and swelling associated with injuries or conditions like arthritis.
- Paracetamol is a trusted pain reliever that works mainly in your brain. While Aceclofenac fights pain at the site of the injury, Paracetamol blocks the pain signals from reaching your brain, which lowers your perception of pain. This dual-action approach provides more comprehensive pain relief and is also very effective at reducing fever.
- Serratiopeptidase is a unique enzyme that helps clean up the mess left behind by an injury. When tissues are damaged, your body can produce a lot of protein debris that causes swelling. Serratiopeptidase breaks down this debris, allowing the trapped fluid to drain away and reducing the pressure and swelling. This speeds up the entire healing process.
- Together, these three ingredients provide powerful relief by blocking pain signals, reducing inflammation, and actively cleaning up the debris that causes swelling.
