Cipmido Tablet is used to treat orthostatic hypotension, a type of low blood pressure that occurs when a person stands up quickly from a sitting or lying position. It contains midodrine as its active
ingredient. This medication works by balancing lower blood pressure in the blood vessels and increasing it by acting through the sympathetic nervous system. Cipmido Tablet should be taken as directed by your doctor, following the prescribed doses and duration. It can be taken with or without food. Inform your doctor if you are pregnant, planning a pregnancy, or breastfeeding, and about all medications and supplements you take, as well as any conditions or diseases you have, before starting Cipmido Tablet.

Contraindications of Cipmido 5 MG
- If you are allergic to midodrine or any other ingredients of the Cipmido Tablet.
- If you have severe heart disease.
- If you have any kidney disease.
- If you have blood vessel diseases.
- If you have high blood pressure.
- If you have elevated eye pressure (glaucoma).
- If you are having difficulty urinating.
- If you have an overactive thyroid gland.

How Does It Work?
Directions for Use of Cipmido 5 MG
- Cipmido Tablet should be taken as directed by your doctor. Swallow it whole with a glass of water; do not cut, break, or chew the medicine.
- It can be taken with or without food. It is best to take it at the same time each day for optimal results, and you should not consume more than what your doctor prescribed.
Interactions of Cipmido 5 MG
Interactions with other medicines
- Inform your doctor about all the medicines, supplements, or herbal products you are currently taking or plan to take to avoid any potential interactions.
- Concomitant use of the Cipmido Tablet with decongestants, reserpine, and guanethidine (used to treat high blood pressure), Amitriptyline, Doxepin (used for mental health issues), Cetirizine, Loratadine (used for allergies), Isocarboxazid, and Selegiline (used for mental health treatment) should be avoided. Using this medicine together with Prazosin or phentolamine (medicines for heart diseases) alters the effects of this medicine. Concurrent use with Digitalis preparations (medicines for heart problems) is not recommended as it may lead to a reduced heart rate....
- Patients receiving treatment with steroids (fludrocortisone) in addition to this medicine may be at an increased risk for glaucoma; thus, careful monitoring is necessary. Inform the doctor or laboratory personnel that you are using this medicine before any lab tests, as it may interfere with test results....
- Other medicines such as promethazine, quinidine, paroxetine, fluoxetine, and bupropion should be used cautiously alongside the Cipmido Tablet.
