Contraindications
- If your child is allergic to cefpodoxime or any of the ingredients of this medicine.
- If your child has a history of severe allergic reactions to any other antibiotic, such as cephalosporins. If you are unsure about which of these medicines to take, ask your doctor.

Storage and disposal

Interactions with other medicines
- Some medicines can affect the way Cefredrox dry syrup works or this medicine itself can reduce the effectiveness of other medicines taken at the same time.
- Tell your doctor about all the medicines, supplements or herbals you are currently taking or might take to avoid any possible interactions.
- Concomitant use of acid-lowering medicines such as Ranitidine, Cimetidine with Cefredrox dry syrup can decrease the effect of this medicine.
- Concomitant use of Probenecid with Cefredrox dry syrup increases the effect of this medicine.
- When medicines known to cause harm to the kidney such as amphotericin-B, vancomycin, amikacin are administered along with Cefredrox dry syrup may increase the risk of kidney disease.
