Bisotab T 2.5mg Strip Of 10 Tablets
Medical Description
Bisotab T tablet is a combined medication that contains bisoprolol and telmisartan as active ingredients. It is used for treating high blood pressure and reducing the risk of heart-related conditions such as stroke, heart attack, and angina (chest pain caused by reduced blood flow to the heart). It works by relaxing the blood vessels and blocking the action of an enzyme that causes blood vessel constriction. It helps to slow the heart rate and relax the blood vessels, further aiding in the reduction of high blood pressure.
Your doctor will determine the dosage and duration of treatment with this medicine after thoroughly assessing your condition. Hypertension, or high blood pressure, is a serious health issue; if not treated correctly, it can affect other organs or lead to further health complications. Taking your medications regularly and incorporating certain lifestyle modifications for effective blood pressure management is essential. Staying active, following a healthy, nutritious diet that is low in salt and fat, avoiding smoking, and limiting alcohol consumption are a few of these modifications. Consult your doctor for detailed information; they may suggest what is best suited to you.
Before taking Bisotab T tablet, inform your doctor if you have any of the following conditions: severe kidney or liver disease, diabetes, are on strict fasting, are undergoing desensitisation therapy, have a history of a scaly skin rash (e.g., psoriasis), pheochromocytoma, thyroid disorder, or are scheduled for general anesthesia. Bisotab T tablet should not be used by pregnant or breastfeeding women unless absolutely necessary. Always consult your physician before using this medication.
Common side effects of Bisotab T tablet include tiredness, weakness, dizziness, headache, tingling or numbness in the hands or feet, low blood pressure, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, or constipation. If these symptoms worsen or persist, seek medical attention. Children should not take this medication. It can be taken with or without food. Avoid missing doses or taking more than the recommended amount.
