Aurohom eye drop is used to dilate the pupil and relax the eye muscles for eye examinations and to treat eye inflammation. Its active ingredient is homatropine, an anticholinergic medicine that affects eye muscles.

Contraindications

Directions for Use

Wash your hands thoroughly before instilling the eye drops. Pull down your lower eyelid and place the prescribed number of drops into the pouch. Close your eyes gently for 1 to 2 minutes to allow the drops to spread. Do not touch the tip of the dropper to your eye or any surface to prevent contamination. Remove contact lenses before using and wait at least 15 to 20 minutes before reinserting them.

Storage and disposal

Store this eye drop in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and heat. Keep out of the reach of children. Check the expiry date before use. Use only within 4 weeks of opening the bottle.

  • Wear sunglasses after using these drops, as your eyes will be sensitive to light
  • Do not drive immediately after using this medicine due to blurred vision
  • Avoid touching your eyes or rubbing them after instillation
  • Apply pressure on the corner of your eye near the nose for 1 minute after instilling to reduce systemic absorption
  • Stinging or burning usually improves within 1 to 2 minutes

If drops are inadvertently swallowed or excessive local application occurs and you experience symptoms such as severe dizziness or difficulty breathing, contact your doctor immediately or visit the nearest hospital.

Missed a Dose

If you miss an instillation, apply the drops as soon as you remember. If it is time for your next dose, then skip the missed dose and continue with your regular dose schedule. Do not instill a double dose to compensate for a missed one.
