Uses
- As per CDSCO, the Attera tablet treats Attention Deficit Hyperkinetic/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD). Patients who need long term treatment should be monitored, and consideration should be given to interrupting treatment in children who are not developing or gaining weight.
Contraindications
- If you have a known hypersensitive reaction to Atomoxetine and the Attera tablet ingredients.
- If you were diagnosed with narrow-angle glaucoma, an eye disorder that causes raised tension inside the eye.
- If you are currently taking other antidepressant medications.
- If you have been diagnosed with an adrenal gland tumour known as pheochromocytoma.
- If you have any type of heart ailment.
- Do not take Attera medication if you have an aneurysm or any blood vessel disorder.
- If you have any urinary retention issues.

Directions for Use
- Take the Attera tablet exactly as prescribed by the doctor.

- Try not to open the tablet and remove its contents of it. Take it as a whole with a glass of water.
- Do not take the Attera tablet with other medications without informing your doctor.

Interactions with other medicines
- If you are using a different type of antidepressant already, using the Attera tablet can cause increased adverse reactions.
- Using Attera tablet with other medications like medications that lower high blood pressure, anti-seizure medication, some cough and cold pills, antipsychotics, etc., can alter the levels of Attera medicine as well as its effectiveness
- It is better to be cautious if you are taking any heart medicine, anti-malarial medicine, or some antibiotics along with Attera tablet as it can increase the risk of abnormal heart rhythm such as long QT syndrome.
Interactions with food items
- Try to avoid grapefruit and its juice, as it can increase the Attera tablet's levels in the blood and affect the medicine.
