Medical Description
Asthalin syrup is used to treat asthma and other conditions that obstruct or block the airways and lungs (COPD). It helps relieve symptoms like bronchospasm (tightening of the muscles that line the airways in your lungs), coughing, wheezing, and breathing difficulties. The active ingredient in Asthalin syrup is salbutamol, which works by widening the airways of the lungs and making breathing easier.
It's crucial to take this medicine exactly as your doctor directs, using a measuring cup or spoon for the exact quantity. Remember to shake the bottle well before use and to avoid taking more than the prescribed dose. Do not stop taking this medicine on your own.
Some other medications containing similar compositions are Ventorlin syrup, Ventirex syrup, Salbu 2mg syrup, Broncocet syrup, and Asthacure syrup.
Do not use Asthalin syrup if you are allergic to its components. Before starting this medication, inform your doctor about your complete medical history and all other medicines and supplements you're taking. Also, let your doctor know if you are pregnant, planning on becoming pregnant, or breastfeeding. This medicine is not recommended for children below two years of age.
