Medical Description
Asthagrip Dm tablet is a combination medicine used to help manage allergic rhinitis, bronchial asthma, and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) in adults. It works to make breathing easier, reduce airway inflammation, control mucus production, and relieve allergy symptoms such as sneezing, runny nose, and itching. By targeting different pathways in the lungs and immune system, it helps prevent asthma attacks and allergy flare-ups, improving overall respiratory health.
Acebrophylline relaxes and opens the airways, making it easier to breathe, while also reducing inflammation and mucus in the lungs. Montelukast blocks leukotrienes, chemicals that cause swelling and narrowing of the airways, helping prevent asthma attacks and allergy symptoms. Desloratadine is an antihistamine that reduces allergy reactions by blocking histamine, which decreases sneezing, runny nose, and itching.
Common side effects may include headache, mild dizziness, drowsiness, stomach discomfort, nausea, or throat irritation. Rarely, it can cause rapid heartbeat, severe dizziness, rash, or allergic reactions. It is important to monitor for unusual symptoms and report them to your doctor promptly.
The medicine should be taken exactly as prescribed, preferably with or after food to reduce stomach upset. Do not take more than the recommended dose, and maintain a regular schedule for best results. Avoid alcohol, and keep track of your symptoms to discuss progress with your doctor.
