Alergin-L tablet is used to provide relief from various allergic conditions such as a runny or blocked nose, watery eyes, fever, rash, sinus and the common cold. Alergin-L tablet contains levocetiriz

ine, an anti-allergic medicine. This medicine acts by inhibiting the release of the chemical substance histamine, known to cause allergic conditions. Take this medicine as prescribed by your doctor for the exact prescribed duration. Sometimes this medicine can cause drowsiness, sleepiness and a dry mouth. However, these side effects get resolved on their own. Alergin-L tablets should not be used by children below 6 years of age.

Alergin-L tablet is used to treat allergic conditions such as a runny or blocked nose, sinus, common cold, hives and rashes.

Contraindications of Alergin L 5 MG

If you are allergic to levocetirizine, cetirizine or any other component of Alergin-L tablet.
If you have severe kidney failure.

Pregnancy

Can I take the Alergin-L tablet during pregnancy?

It is recommended not to take Alergin-L tablet, unless it is advised by your doctor. Inform your doctor if you are pregnant or think you may be pregnant.

Breast Feeding

Can I take the Alergin-L tablet while breastfeeding?

Alergin-L tablet can pass into human breast milk in small quantities though and may cause minimal harm to the baby. Smaller and occasional doses may not cause harm. However, always inform your doctor if you are a nursing mother.

Driving

Can I drive if I have consumed this medicine?

Alergin-L tablet may cause dizziness and weakness as its side effect. If you experience these symptoms it is recommended to avoid driving.

Alcohol

Can I consume alcohol if I have taken the medicine?

Consuming alcohol with Alergin-L tablet may cause excessive drowsiness and sleepiness. It will intensify the side effect profile. Thus, avoid drinking alcohol with this medicine. Talk to your doctor if you consume it often.
