Medical Description
Zita-Met Plus 20mg/500mg tablet is a combination of Teneligliptin and Metformin as an anti-diabetic medication. It is used to lower the high blood sugar levels in people with type 2 diabetes mellitus, along with lifestyle changes. It is an anti-diabetic medicine. This medicine works best when used along with a healthy diet and regular exercise.
Take Zita-Met Plus 20mg/500mg tablet as recommended by your doctor. Taking more than the recommended medicine may lead to a serious complication of too low blood sugar levels that may be characterised by dizziness, blurred vision, trembling, sweating, paleness and confusion. Inform your doctor if you have low levels of vitamin B12. To achieve better sugar control, it is advised that you follow a healthy diet and exercise regularly, along with taking Zita Met Plus. Dynaglipt-M tablet, Tendia M tablets, Ziten M 20/500mg tablets and Teniva M tablets are a few other medicines with the combination of Teneligliptin and Metformin.
Do not stop taking this medicine abruptly, as it may lead to serious health consequences. You may experience the most common side effects such as diarrhoea, nausea, vomiting, upset stomach, headache and low blood sugar level (hypoglycemia). - You are suffering from continuous diarrhoea, vomiting and loss of body fluids.
- You have serious liver and kidney function problems.
- You have an irregular diet, habit of excessive alcohol intake and intense exercise.
- You have a history of any abdomen surgery.
- You are using other medicines like Glimepiride because it can cause a drop in blood sugar level.
- You have Vitamin B12 deficiency.
- You experience muscle pain, stomach pain, vomiting, breathing difficulty and low body temperature. It could be a serious condition known as lactic acidosis.

- Medicines used to treat depression like Phenelzine.
- Medicines for fever and pain (salicylates like aspirin).
- Medicines used to treat high blood pressure like Atenolol, Propranolol and Verapamil.
- You may have high blood sugar if you are taking steroids, thyroxine.
- Never take this medicine if you are taking medicines like Quinidine, Sotalol, Procainamide and Amiodarone as it may cause heart rhythm problems and cardiac arrest.
