Directions for Use
- Zilarta CT is to be taken orally as directed by the physician
- Can be taken with or without food
- Do not break, crush or chew the tablet
- Swallow the tablet with a glass of water
- Do not take more than the recommended dose

How Does It Work?
Interactions
Interactions with other medicines
- Azilsartan, along with NSAIDs, combined use of renin-angiotensin system inhibitors, COX -2 inhibitors and colesevelam hydrochloride can deteriorate renal function.
- Concomitant use of angiotensin II receptor antagonists with lithium can cause an increase in serum lithium concentrations
- Diuretics increase the effect of guanethidine, methyldopa, β-blockers, vasodilators, calcium antagonists and ACE inhibitors
- Diuretics along with corticosteroids, ACTH, ß2 – agonists, amphotericin and carbenoxolone can lead to low potassium levels atropine, biperiden can increase the effect of diuretics
- Colestyramine can reduce the effect of Chlorthalidone
- Diuretics and cyclosporin may cause an increase in uric acid levels
Other general Interactions
- Avoid Zilarta CT 40mg tablet in elderly patients; volume-depleted patients
- Avoid this medicine in patients with progressive disease of liver disease, kidney disease or electrolyte imbalance
