Zilarta Ct 40/12.5mg Strip Of 10 Tablets Description

Zilarta CT 40mg tablet is an anti-hypertensive medicine used to treat high blood pressure. It contains a combination of azilsartan medoxomil, an angiotensin receptor blocker and Chlorthalidone a long

acting diuretic. This medicine helps in lowering blood pressure and also protects against retention of salt by the kidneys. You can take this tablet with or without food. Do not stop the medications abruptly without consulting the doctor. If you observe any severe side effects, inform the doctor immediately. Do not exceed the recommended dose in 24 hours. It should be stored at room temperature, away from sunlight and moisture.

Interactions with other medicines

Azilsartan, along with NSAIDs, combined use of renin-angiotensin system inhibitors, COX -2 inhibitors and colesevelam hydrochloride can deteriorate renal function.
Concomitant use of angiotensin II receptor antagonists with lithium can cause an increase in serum lithium concentrations
Diuretics increase the effect of guanethidine, methyldopa, β-blockers, vasodilators, calcium antagonists and ACE inhibitors
Diuretics along with corticosteroids, ACTH, ß2 – agonists, amphotericin and carbenoxolone can lead to low potassium levels atropine, biperiden can increase the effect of diuretics
Colestyramine can reduce the effect of Chlorthalidone
Diuretics and cyclosporin may cause an increase in uric acid levels
