Voglikem M Tablet is used to treat type 2 diabetes mellitus in adults along with diet and exercise.
Contraindications of Voglikem M 0.3mg Strip Of 10 Tablets
- If you are allergic to metformin or voglibose or any of the ingredients of Voglikem M Tablet.
- If you have kidney problems.
- If you have metabolic acidosis, including diabetic ketoacidosis, with or without coma.
- If you have a severe infection, before and after an operation or have serious trauma.
- If you have a gastrointestinal blockage or are at risk of it.

- You have adrenal or pituitary insufficiency or alcohol intoxication.

Mode of Action of Voglikem M 0.3mg Strip Of 10 Tablets
How Does It Work?
- Voglikem M Tablet contains a combination of voglibose and metformin as active substances.
- Metformin decreases the production of glucose and also reduces its absorption in the body.
- Voglibose reduces the rate of digestion of complex carbohydrates. Less glucose is absorbed because the carbohydrates are not broken down into sugar molecules. This thereby prevents a spike in blood sugar levels that occur after a meal....

- Take Voglikem M Tablet as a whole with sufficient water.
- Always take this medicine exactly as prescribed by your doctor.
- Do not cut, break or chew the medicine.
- Do not consume more than the prescribed dose.
- Do not discontinue the medicine on your own without consulting your doctor.

- Particular care should be taken when using Voglikem M Tablet with medicines that can cause lactic acidosis (excessive acid accumulation) like medicines used to treat ulcers (cimetidine), fluid accumulation (amiloride), heart failure (digoxin), pain (morphine), irregular/abnormal heart rhythm (procainamide, quinidine), malaria (quinine), bacterial infections (trimethoprim)....
- Caution should be exercised if you are taking medicines used to treat oedema (furosemide, hydrochlorothiazide), heart-related chest pain (nifedipine), endometriosis (danazol) and pain/fever/inflammation (salicylates)....
- Medicines that may increase the anti-diabetic activity of Voglikem M Tablet are medicines used to lower blood pressure (captopril, atenolol), other antidiabetic medicines (insulin, acarbose), medicines used to treat Parkinson's disease (selegiline), bacterial/ fungal infections (sulphonamides) and fever/pain (non-steroidal anti-inflammatory medicines like ibuprofen)....
- Medicines that may cause high blood sugar levels when used together with {[cb}} Tablet are medicines used to treat inflammation (corticosteroids), mental disorders (phenothiazines), thyroid disorders (thyroid products), hormone replacement therapy (estrogens), fits/seizures (phenytoin), niacin deficiency/pellagra (nicotinic acid), tuberculosis (isoniazid), infections (quinolones) and oral contraceptives....
