Vildapride M Tablet is an anti-diabetic medication that contains vildagliptin and metformin as active ingredients. It is used to treat type 2 diabetes mellitus when diet, exercise, and vildagliptin o

r metformin alone are not effective. Avoid using this medication if you are allergic to it or have type 1 diabetes. Vildapride M should not be used by children under 18 years of age. Vildapride M Tablet is used to treat type 2 diabetes mellitus when vildagliptin or metformin alone, along with diet and exercise, are ineffective in controlling blood sugar.

Contraindications of Vildapride M 50/1000mg Strip Of 10 Tablets

If you are allergic to vildagliptin, metformin, or other ingredients of Vildapride M.
If you have uncontrolled diabetes accompanied by nausea, vomiting, diarrhoea, rapid weight loss, or lactic acidosis (symptoms include stomach pain, rapid breathing, and sleepiness).
If you are in a diabetic coma due to a sudden rise or fall in blood sugar levels.
If you are an alcoholic or regularly consume alcohol in excess.
If you have a pre-existing medical condition such as kidney or liver disorder, heart disease, or type 1 diabetes.
If you have an infection or dehydration.
If you are undergoing surgery or experiencing stress.
If you are breastfeeding.

Driving

Can I drive after consuming Vildapride M Tablet?

Vildapride M Tablet is known to cause low blood sugar levels, which impairs the driving ability. Always keep sugar, juice or a bar of chocolate in the car while driving. In case you experience the symptoms of low blood glucose levels like dizziness, drowsiness, vision disturbances and sweating, stop driving and have sugar/ juice. Avoid consuming sugar-free at such episodes.

Can I consume alcohol while taking Vildapride M Tablet?

Alcohol lowers blood sugar, which is dangerous. Avoid consuming alcohol while on treatment with Vildapride M.
