Velcade 1mg Vial Of 1 Injection
Description
Velcade 1mg Injection is a chemotherapy medication containing the active ingredient Bortezomib, which belongs to the class of proteasome inhibitors. It is prescribed for the treatment of multiple myeloma, a cancer affecting plasma cells, and mantle cell lymphoma, a less common type of blood cancer that impacts B-cells, frequently involving the lymph nodes. By inhibiting proteasomes within cancer cells, Velcade disrupts essential cellular processes, thereby hindering their growth and promoting their destruction.
It works by stopping or slowing the growth of cancer cells. Velcade 1mg Injection is administered as an injection by a qualified medical professional.
Fatigue, nausea, vomiting, and loss of appetite are some common side effects of this medicine. You may be advised to stay well-hydrated during treatment. Avoid driving or operating machinery, as this medicine may cause tiredness and dizziness.
This medicine may lower your blood cell counts (reducing both red and white blood cells), increasing your risk of infections. Regular blood tests are necessary to monitor your blood cell levels, as well as heart, liver, and uric acid levels.
Before using Velcade 1mg Injection, consult your doctor if you have any liver, kidney, heart diseases, or bleeding disorders. Many other medications can interact with this medicine, so inform your healthcare team of all the medications you are taking. This medicine is not recommended during pregnancy or while breastfeeding. Effective contraception is important for both males and females during treatment to prevent pregnancy.
