Can I take Tygacil Injection while breastfeeding?

It is not known if Tygacil Injection pass into breast milk. To avoid any harm to the breastfeeding infant, consult the doctor if you are breastfeeding before initiating therapy and he may suggest either discontinuing breastfeeding or treatment.

Driving

Can I drive if I have consumed Tygacil Injection?

It can cause dizziness as a side effect, which can impact your driving ability. So, do not drive until you know how the medicine affects you.

Alcohol

Can I consume alcohol with Tygacil Injection?

Although there is no known interaction with alcohol along with this medicine, it is important to consult your physician if you drink too often. Long-term use of alcohol weakens the immune system and makes you more prone to getting infected.

Other General Warnings

Talk to your doctor if

You have a tendency for slow or poor wound healing.
You have diarrhoea before the treatment or you develop diarrhoea after the treatment. But do not take any anti-diarrhoeal medicines on your own.
You have or have a history of allergic reactions to any antibiotic medicine.
You have a history or currently have a liver problem. The doctor might need to reduce the dose accordingly.
You have blockage of the bile ducts (also called cholestasis- a flow of bile from the liver is slowed or blocked).
You have a bleeding disorder and you are taking any anticoagulant medicines, as it might affect blood coagulation.

Tygacil Injection alters the protein synthesis (responsible for cell multiplication) of the bacteria, which stops the growth of bacteria and results in cell death.
