- Trivium tablet is used in people with-
- Anxiety
- Acute alcohol withdrawal symptoms
- Preoperative anxiety
Contraindications
- Trivium tablet is contraindicated if-
- You are allergic or hypersensitive to Chlordiazepoxide.
- You have Respiratory Depression.
- You suffer from severe Liver Disorder.
- You suffer from Myasthenia Gravis (muscular disorder).
- You suffer from Chronic Drug or Alcohol Dependence.

Other General Warnings
- You have a medical history of kidney, liver, lung, or mental disorders.
- You or any family member has a history of depression, has had suicidal thoughts.
- You have jaundice or any sort of blood disorder after taking the tablets.
- You have symptoms of serotonin which can be confusion, dilated pupils, headache, nausea, vomiting, diarrhoea, tremors, sweating, fast heartbeat.
- You have withdrawal symptoms like headaches, muscle pain, restlessness, anxiety, sweating, diarrhoea, etc. Do not discontinue medicine without consulting the doctor.
- You have an urge to continue medicine beyond the prescribed duration or dosage.
- You want to drive a vehicle or operate heavy machinery after taking the Trivium tablets.
- You notice any changes in vision like blurred vision.
Directions for Use
- Trivium tablets can only be taken with a doctor’s recommendation. It is generally prescribed to take the tablets for around four weeks, and the schedule has to be maintained.
- Trivium tablets can be taken with or without food. You need to follow a proper routine, and the medication's timings should be consistent.
- Trivium tablets have to be consumed orally with water. The tablets should not be manipulated in any way by either crushing or breaking them.
- Do not stop taking the Trivium tablets without consulting the doctor, as it can worsen the present situation.

Interactions with other medicines
- Trivium tablet can interact with following medicines-
- Acetazolamide (glaucoma medicine), Alprazolam (antianxiety), Meperidine (painkiller)- It can increase the severity of side effects.
- Tramadol (painkiller)- It can increase the depressive action on the nervous system.
- Phenytoin (antiepileptic)- The serum concentration of phenytoin can be increased if combined with trivium.
- Fluoxetine (antidepressant)- The concentration of chlordiazepoxide in Trivium tablets can be increased if used in combination.
- Cimetidine (antiallergic)- The metabolism of Cimetidine can be decreased if used in combination..

- Trivium tablets are not known to interact with any particular food item
