Sumo Cold Tablet
Description
Sumo Cold tablets are commonly prescribed for relief from cold and allergy symptoms, including sneezing, runny nose, nasal congestion, and headache. The tablet contains a combination of paracetamol, caffeine, phenylephrine, and diphenhydramine, which work together to reduce fever, relieve nasal blockage, and control allergy symptoms. Diphenhydramine reduces sneezing and a runny nose, phenylephrine relieves nasal congestion, paracetamol reduces fever and body aches, while caffeine helps alleviate drowsiness caused by other ingredients.
It is important to take Sumo Cold tablets exactly as prescribed by your doctor. The medicine should be taken at the correct dose and for the exact duration recommended by the healthcare provider. To reduce the chances of stomach upset, it is best taken with food or immediately after meals. Do not exceed the recommended dosage, and avoid combining it with other medications containing paracetamol, as it may increase the risk of liver damage.
Like any other medicine, Sumo Cold tablets may cause some side effects. These can include nausea, vomiting, dry mouth, abdominal pain, headache, fatigue, drowsiness, and dizziness. In most cases, these side effects are temporary and mild. However, if they persist, worsen, or if you notice unusual symptoms such as difficulty breathing, a severe rash, or an irregular heartbeat, seek immediate medical attention.
Before starting this medicine, inform your doctor if you are pregnant, planning a pregnancy, or breastfeeding, as it may not be suitable in these cases. Also, inform your doctor about any existing health conditions, such as high blood pressure, heart problems, diabetes, thyroid disorders, kidney or liver disease, and about all the medications, supplements, or herbal products you are currently taking. This will help avoid possible drug interactions or complications.
For better recovery, make sure to rest well, drink plenty of fluids, and avoid alcohol while taking this medicine. Alcohol can increase drowsiness and the risk of liver damage when taken with paracetamol-containing medicines. Do not drive or operate heavy machinery after taking Sumo Cold tablets, as it may cause drowsiness or dizziness. Always follow your doctor’s advice for safe and effective use.
