Stalopam 5 MG Description

Stalopam 5 mg tablet is a prescription medication commonly used for treating major depressive and panic disorders, with or without agoraphobia (fear of open spaces or crowded places). The active ingr

edient in Stalopam 5 mg tablets is escitalopram. Escitalopram is an antidepressant medicine. The mode of action of Stalopam 5 mg tablets is by increasing a chemical substance in the brain, which is responsible for elevating the mood, improving energy, and reducing nervousness. Stalopam tablets help stabilise the mood by reducing the excess activity of the nerves in the brain. It produces a calming effect and sedation. The dose of Stalopam tablets should be carefully monitored, especially in older adults and patients with liver and kidney disorders. Even though it does not cause physical dependency, this medicine can cause psychological dependency if taken long. The doctor should be provided with the affected person’s complete medical history and any medications taken. This is important as Stalopam 5 mg tablets can interact with many other medicines.
