- Skizoril Tablets are used in the treatment of

Contraindications
- If you are hypersensitive or allergic to clozapine or other antipsychotics and other inactive substances present in the medication.

- You have allergic reactions such as rashes, swelling, severe dizziness, or difficulty breathing after taking this medicine.
- You want to discontinue the medicine.
- You have a mental disorder called dementia.

- You have suicidal thoughts or experience a behaviour change.
- You have diabetes or high lipid levels.
- You have a decrease in the level of white blood cells.
- You are a patient below 16 years.
- You want to do activities that require high alertness.
Directions for Use
- Skizoril Tablets must be taken as directed by the doctor.
- Take the pill at the same time every day to ensure that a constant level of medication is maintained in the blood.
- Swallow Skizoril pill whole with a glass of water.
- Do not break, crush or chew the tablet; this can reduce its efficacy.
- Skizoril Tablets can be taken with or without food.
- Do not take more medicine than what your doctor has recommended. Consult your doctor if you feel that your prescribed dosage isn’t working for you.
- Do not stop taking medicine without consulting your doctor.

Interactions
Interactions with other medicines
- Ketoconazole (antifungal medication used in the treatment of skin infections like athlete's foot, ringworm, etc.) - decreases the metabolism of Skizoril Tablets and can lead to increased side effects of this medicine
- Tramadol (pain medication similar to opioids that acts on the central nervous system) - leads to side effects like respiratory distress, seizure attack, irregular heart rhythm and coma.
- Antidiabetic medications (medication used to lower blood sugar levels and improve the way your body handles insulin)- reduce the effectiveness of anti-diabetic medicines.
- Antihypertensive medications (medications used to treat high blood pressure) like Metoprolol - additive effects in decreasing your blood pressure. Blood pressure needs to be monitored.
Interactions with food items
- Food does not influence the effect of Skizoril Tablet. So, a regular diet can be continued unless advised otherwise by the doctor.
- Additionally, inform the doctor about any supplements or herbal drinks you take before beginning your Skizoril Tablets
