Mode of Action

How Does It Work?

Skizoril contains Clozapine. It works by influencing the levels of certain chemical messengers in the brain known as dopamine and serotonin. Dopamine is called a “feel-good hormone” that increases the feeling of happiness, excitement, and good mood. It influences a person’s social behaviour, thinking ability and brain function. Serotonin is a chemical messenger that is also known as the happy chemical. It prevents depression and promotes the feeling of pleasure, happiness and love. Hence, Skizoril modulates the level of these messengers and alleviates the symptoms seen in schizophrenia.
