Description
Sizlac Tablet comes under the therapeutic classification of antiepileptic medicines. Sizlac Tablets are most commonly used for the adjunctive treatment of partial-onset seizures in people aged 17 yea
rs and above. Partial onset seizures are when the onset of the abnormal electrical activity of the nerve cells in only one part of the brain occurs. Symptoms of seizures can be uncontrollable jerking movements, confusion, loss of awareness, anxiety and fear. Sizlac Tablets are composed of Lacosamide. Sizlac Tablets is a prescription medicine, and it is to be taken exactly as suggested by the physician. The physician should be consulted immediately if the patient experiences any side effects, the condition worsens or allergic side effects. The medicine should be continued for as long as your doctor recommends. It is essential to follow the complete course of treatment. The medicine should not be given to anyone else, even if they have the same symptoms or condition. How Does It Work?
Sizlac Tablets contain lacosamide which exerts its mechanism of action by enhancing the slow inactivation of sodium gated channels responsible for the onset of seizures. These sodium channels alter the neuronal activity in the brain and lead to seizures. Thereby decreasing the abnormal electrical activity in the brain Sizlac Tablets control seizures and fits....
Directions for Use of Sizlac 50 MG
- Take the Sizlac Tablets exactly as directed by your doctor.
- Take the Sizlac Tablets with or without food.
- Swallow Sizlac Tablets with a glass of water.

Interactions with other medicines
- Sizlac Tablets can cause adverse reactions when taken with the following medicines:
- Interaction with antifungal medicines like itraconazole and ketoconazole, which are considered strong inhibitors of CYP3A4, can increase the exposure of Sizlac Tablets. Dose reduction is essential in such conditions....
- Interaction with medicines that can prolong the PR interval, like beta-blockers, and calcium channel blockers, may increase the risk of atrioventricular block, fast heart rate and irregular heartbeats....
