Description
Sepsivac injection is an immunotherapeutic medicine. It contains heat-killed strains of bacteria named "Mycobacterium w" which is a non-pathogenic mycobacterium and has immunomodulatory properties. I
t is used as immunotherapy in sepsis or septic shock, leprosy and a certain type of lung cancer along with other anti-cancer medicines. It works by altering the biological response of an individual to various pathological conditions. This injection is given intradermally (into the dermis) by a doctor or nurse in a hospital or healthcare set up. It is advised to consult your doctor if you are pregnant or likely to be pregnant and if you are breastfeeding your child before taking this medicine.

- If you are allergic to Mycobacterium w (heat-killed) or any ingredient of Sepsivac injection.
- If you are pregnant or a nursing mother or suffering from fever.
- If you have a septic skin condition such as eczema, the injection site should be free from skin lesions.
- If you have any pre-existing medical conditions other than the disease for which this injection is being used.
