• If you are allergic to ofloxacin, ornidazole or any other component of Satrogyl-O tablet.
• If you have or had any blood disorders.
• If you have or had fits, tendon disorder or any other central nervous system disease.
• If you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
• If you have glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase deficiency.

• Headache
• Dizziness
• Dry mouth
• Weakness
• Nausea
• Vomiting
• Sleep disorder
• Eye irritation

Other General Warnings

• You had or have a balloon-like bulge in the artery of the heart.
• You are on certain medications like anti-diabetic medicines, blood-thinning medications like warfarin etc
• You experience tendon rupture, inflammation of a tendon, weakness or inability to use one of your joints or any central nervous system effects such as anxiety, low mood, insomnia, severe headaches and confusion.
• You experience peripheral neuropathy, including pain, burning, tingling, numbness, weakness or altered sensations.
• You have pre-existing medical conditions like muscle weakness, liver, kidney or heart disease, fits, nerve related disorders including pain, burning, tingling, numbness, weakness or altered sensations etc.
• You experience any other unwanted symptoms like vision disturbance.
• Avoid exposure to direct or indirect sunlight when on a Satrogyl-O tablet. Always use sunscreen.
• Satrogyl-O tablets should not be used for children below 18 years of age.

• Satrogyl-O tablet should be taken as directed by your doctor.
• Swallow it whole with a glass of water.
• Take it at a fixed time for optimal results.
• Do not consume it more than that prescribed by your doctor.

• Store below 25°C. Protect it from light and moisture.
• Keep it out of the reach and sight of children and pets.

• Satrogyl-O tablet is used to treat diarrhoea of mixed infection in adults.
• Take the medication exactly as prescribed by your doctor. Do not change the dose or stop taking it without your doctor's approval.
• Take Satrogyl-O on an empty stomach, ideally at least one hour before or two hours after a meal.
• Drink plenty of water while taking this medicine to help prevent dehydration.
• Avoid drinking alcohol while taking Satrogyl O, as it can cause severe side effects, such as abdominal pain, nausea, vomiting, headache, and flushing.
• It is important to complete the full course of treatment, even if your symptoms improve, to ensure that all of the bacteria causing the infection are fully eradicated.
• If you have a weakened immune system, take extra precautions to avoid infection, such as avoiding close contact with people who are sick, washing your hands frequently, and avoiding undercooked or raw foods.

How Does It Work?

• Ofloxacin works by inhibiting the multiplication of the bacteria, stopping the growth.
• Satranidazole works by stopping the growth of the bacteria or parasites causing the infection.

Interactions with other medicines

• Certain medicines can interfere with the action of Satrogyl-O tablet if taken at the same time.
• Always inform your doctor about all the medicine you are taking, that includes all prescribed or non-prescribed herbal medicines, dietary supplements as well as other treatment if you are taking for any disorder.
• In particular, if you are taking medicines for arthritis, breathing-related problems like theophylline, immunosuppressants like ciclosporin, painkillers, medicines for reducing stomach acid, anticoagulants like warfarin and certain supplements containing iron, calcium etc.
• Other medicines that should be used with caution are mood elevator medicines, medicines for heart disorders etc.
• Satrogyl-O tablet may alter the blood sugar-lowering effect of antidiabetic medicines like insulin if taken along.

Interactions with food items

• Take Satrogyl-O Tablet with or after meals to reduce stomach upset.
• Avoid alcohol, as it can increase dizziness and nausea while taking this medicine.
• Limit very spicy or oily foods during treatment, as they may worsen stomach discomfort.
• Drink plenty of water to stay hydrated and help flush out infection-causing bacteria.
• Eat light, easily digestible meals such as soups, rice, and steamed vegetables while on this medicine.
• Avoid excessive caffeine or carbonated drinks that may irritate the stomach.
