Medical Description
Romy powder for injection contains romiplostim, a thrombopoietin (TPO) receptor agonist belonging to the class of peptide bodies (peptibodies). It activates the TPO receptor, which stimulates megakaryocytopoiesis and increases platelet production.
Romy powder for injection is used to manage low platelet counts (thrombocytopenia) in eligible patients with immune thrombocytopenia (ITP). It increases platelet counts and may help reduce the risk of bleeding.
Romy powder for injection is administered by healthcare professionals via subcutaneous (SC) injection in clinical settings.
