How Does It Work?
Rifaximin of the Rifabiz tablets is a broad-spectrum antibiotic effective against both Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria. It binds to the RNA polymerase enzyme in bacteria and prevents RNA synthesis in them. As a result, it stops their growth and multiplication....

- Always take this medicine exactly as directed by your doctor. This tablet may be swallowed whole with a glass of water.
Interactions of Rifabiz 550 MG
Interactions with other medicines
- Concomitant use of rifaximin with warfarin reduces the action of anticoagulants like warfarin
- Concomitant administration of rifaximin with other rifamycins may affect the intestinal bacterial flora
- The serum concentration of Rifaximin is increased when it is co-administered with Cyclosporine
