Description
Resophyl Forte Tablet is a prescription medication. It contains Diethylcarbamazine as its active ingredient. It manages certain worm infections. Symptoms of these infections may include itchy skin, a
bdominal pain, muscle pain, and areas of swelling under the skin. It may be administered alone or in combination with medicines like Ivermectin and Albendazole. It should be noted that this medication is effective only against certain worms. When infected by non-sensitive worms, taking this medication may lead to undesirable side effects. This medication may also be prescribed to you before performing a blood test called DEC provocation test/Hetrazan test. This test is used to diagnose certain worm infections like Filariasis. It is important to follow up with your doctor regularly to ensure the infection has been treated completely. You may need to get regular eye examinations to check for side effects. This medication should only be taken on prescription by a doctor.

Directions for Use
- It is recommended that this medication be taken at fixed times every day.
- This medication should be taken with food.
- Swallow the tablet whole, don’t crush, break, or chew.
- Take Resophyl medication at the recommended dose. Don’t alter the dose in any way, as this may lead to undesirable side effects.
- It is essential to take this medication for the entire duration prescribed to you by your doctor. This holds true even if you begin to feel better. This is to make sure that all parasites are killed. Abruptly stopping this medication can lead to resistance to this medication....
Interactions
Interactions with other medicines
- The metabolism of Diethylcarbamazine may be increased with certain medicines. This may lead to a decrease in its efficacy. Co-administration of these medicines, which include Betamethasone etc., is not recommended....
- Diethylcarbamazine may increase the bradycardic (decreased heart rate) activities of medicines like Atenolol, Bisoprolol etc.
