Medical Description

Ranidom-O suspension is a combination medicine that is used to treat acidity, heartburn, gas, stomach ulcers, and GERD. It consists of magaldrate, simethicone, and oxetacaine as its active ingredients. It belongs to the class of medicines called antacids and anti-flatulent. It helps to relieve burning sensation, gas formation, and discomfort in the stomach which is associated with acidity. It is also helpful in treating pain and discomfort associated with ulcers in the food pipe (oesophagus) and the stomach.
Sometimes you may experience certain common side effects such as constipation, diarrhoea, and intestinal pain in some cases. Although, these symptoms usually resolve on your own. However, if you feel the symptom persistently, speak to your doctor immediately.

Uses of RANIDOM O ORANGE FLAVOUR SUGAR FREE BOTTLE OF 200ML SUSPENSION

Ranidom-o suspension is used for the treatment of stomach/peptic ulcers, heartburn, and indigestion (or dyspepsia).
Gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) is a condition in which acid from the stomach comes up to the food pipe causing heartburn.
For a condition called Zollinger-Ellison syndrome where the stomach produces too much acid due to the presence of a tumour.

If you are allergic to this medicine or any of the ingredients of Ranidom-O suspension.
If you have kidney or liver problems.
If you are already taking any laxatives, calcium supplements or antacids.
If you are pregnant or a breastfeeding mother.

Can I consume alcohol with Ranidom-O suspension ?

Consumption of alcohol can increase acidity and also aggravate the pain associated with ulcers. Hence, it is advised to avoid consuming alcohol.
