Qutan Sr 400 MG Description

Qutan Sr 400 mg tablet is a prescription medication mainly used to treat schizophrenia and bipolar disorder (manic depression). Schizophrenia is a psychotic disorder characterised by episodes of hall

ucinations, delusions, and extremely disordered thinking and behaviour. Bipolar disorder causes extreme mood swings with emotional highs (mania or hypomania) and lows (depression). The active ingredient in Qutan Sr 400 mg tablet is Quetiapine. It works by stabilising the levels of certain chemical messengers that help manage mood, thoughts, and behaviour. Directions for use of Qutan Sr 400 mg should be strictly followed. This medicine should not be taken without consulting a doctor as there are many side effects associated with this medicine. Sudden stoppage of Qutan Sr 400 mg tablets can cause clinical worsening of the user's condition or may lead to withdrawal-like symptoms. Some side effects of Qutan Sr 400 mg tablets include dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth, constipation, and abdominal pain.

Do not take Qutan Se 400 mg tablets or use caution:
If you are allergic to Quetiapine, a component of Qutan Sr 400 mg tablet
If you have been diagnosed with dementia (memory loss)
If the affected individual is in a coma state.
If you have acute angle glaucoma (a condition that increases the fluid pressure in the eyes)
If you have severe central nervous system depression (reduces the functionality of breathing)
If you have neuroleptic malignant syndrome (a neuromuscular disorder)
If you take anti-Parkinson's medications.
If you have a history of stroke or are at high risk of having a stroke.
If you have diabetes.
If you have prostate or bladder problems.
If you are pregnant or breastfeeding.

Directions for Use of Qutan Sr 400 MG

Take Qutan Sr 400 mg tablet as prescribed by the doctor.
Take this medicine with or without food or as prescribed by the doctor.
Take this medicine on a regular schedule, preferably at the same time every day.
Consume the whole tablet orally with a glass of water. Do not crush/break the tablet or chew this medicine.
Do not take this tablet with other medication without consulting your doctor.
Do not abruptly stop taking this medication, as it may lead to withdrawal symptoms.
Do not exceed the dosage without consulting the doctor.
