Description

Pivikto tablet contains an anticancer medicine alpelisib. It is a PI3K inhibitor used to treat breast cancer in patients who are HR-positive, HER2 negative, diagnosed with PIK3CA-mutated, advanced or metastatic breast cancer. It is given in conjunction with another medication known as fulvestrant and is appropriate for both postmenopausal women and men. Before the treatment, your doctor may give you medication to prevent nausea and vomiting. During treatment and for one week after the last dose, women should use an effective form of birth control. Male patients with female partners should use effective birth control during treatment as well as for one week after the last dose. If you have kidney disease, lung disease or breathing problems, or diabetes, tell your doctor. Do not breastfeed while taking this medication or for 1 week after the last dose.
