Mode of Action

How Does It Work?

Pedicloryl acts on the centers in the brain and induces sleepiness in a short time. The sleep lasts for an acceptable duration of about eight to ten hours. Its action involves increasing the levels of a chemical in the brain called GABA (Gamma Amino Butyric Acid). This chemical decreases the activity in the brain and produces a calming effect, thereby reducing anxiety and fear and inducing sleepiness. It is an effective medicine to induce sleep in children before conducting any medical, surgical, or dental procedure.
