Pedicalm Susp is used for the treatment of insomnia, anxiety, and pain. It is often prescribed for the treatment of sleep abnormalities like insomnia in children. This medicine belongs to the class o
f melatonin agonists. The active ingredient in Pedicalm Susp is Triclofos. Insomnia is a condition in which the affected person has difficulty falling asleep. Since this medicine causes drowsiness, it should be taken before bedtime and at a dose as prescribed by the doctor. It can also cause drowsiness in the morning after. Pedicalm Susp may cause nausea. If the child vomits within 30 minutes of taking the medicine, then another dose of the medicine should be given. The dose of Pedicalm Susp depends on the child's pre-existing conditions and their response to the medicine. It is avoided in children with liver or cardiac disease. Some of the most common side effects of Pedicalm Susp are nausea, vomiting, sleepiness, disorientation, and incoordination. Most of the side effects are mild and do not require any dose modifications. However, if the side effects persist, it is advised to consult a doctor. Directions for use of Pedicalm Susp should be strictly followed. This medicine should be used only under conditions where sedation is required. Using Pedicalm Susp for a prolonged duration can cause dependency issues. Abrupt stoppage can cause withdrawal symptoms like agitation, headache, and sleeplessness.
