Pause 500mg injection contains tranexamic acid. It is used in the prevention or treatment of bleeding in conditions such as heavy bleeding during menses, abnormal bleeding between two menstrual perio
ds, bleeding from the digestive tract, nosebleed, bleeding due to surgeries of tooth extraction, tonsil removal, prostate or bladder surgery. It works by prevention of formation of plasmin enzyme, a substance responsible for the breakdown of blood clots thereby causing stoppage of bleeding.
