• Serious allergic reactions, including anaphylaxis and anaphylactic shock (hives, swollen face, breathing trouble, chest pain)
• Serotonin syndrome (a life-threatening reaction with symptoms such as agitation, hallucinations, confusion, coma, dizziness, sweating, flushing, or fever, seizures, fast heartbeat, unusual blood pressure changes, tremors, stiff muscles, muscle twitching, overactive reflexes, loss of coordination, nausea, vomiting, or diarrhoea)
• Heart rhythm changes (QT/QTc prolongation)
• Myocardial ischemia
• Laryngospasm (sudden closure of the vocal cords affecting breathing)
• Severe constipation

• Weakness, fatigue, fever, hot flashes, flu-like symptoms, chills
• Anxiety, euphoric mood
• Arthralgia (joint pain)
• Urinary retention
• Allergic dermatitis, rash, pruritus (itching)
• Motion sickness, tinnitus (ringing in ears), eye irritation, blurred vision
• Decreased appetite, anorexia
• Non-sustained tachycardia, hypotension, hypertension, extrasystoles, sinus tachycardia, sinus arrhythmia, supraventricular extrasystoles, generalised oedema, decreased platelet count, vein discolouration, vein distension
• Temporary increase in liver enzymes and bilirubin
• Electrolyte changes
• Hypoventilation
• Dyskinesia (abnormal involuntary movements)
• Injection site reactions such as burning, induration, discomfort and pain

Other General Warnings

• Palozest Injection may rarely cause a serious allergic reaction, including anaphylaxis.
• It may cause serotonin syndrome, particularly when combined with other serotonergic medicines.
• Talk to your doctor if:
• You have had an allergic reaction to another anti-nausea medicine.
• You are pregnant, planning to become pregnant, or breastfeeding.
• You experience symptoms of an allergic reaction or serotonin syndrome after receiving Palozest Injection.
• You have a history of constipation or symptoms of constipation or bowel blockage.

• Your doctor will decide the dosage of Palozest Injection based on your treatment plan.
• Palozest Injection is administered as an intravenous (IV) infusion.
• Palozest Injection should only be administered by a healthcare professional in a hospital or clinical setting. Do not self-administer this medication.

• Since Palozest Injection is administered in a hospital setting, appropriate storage and disposal will be followed by your healthcare team.
• Palozest Injection should be kept out of the sight and reach of children.
• Palozest Injection should not be used after the expiry date.
• Store Palozest Injection at controlled room temperature (20°C to 25°C); brief variations between 15°C to 30°C are allowed.
• Protect Palozest Injection from light.
• Do not freeze Palozest Injection.

• Tell your doctor about all your medical conditions before receiving Palozest Injection.
• Inform your doctor if you notice signs of an allergic reaction, such as hives, facial swelling, or difficulty breathing.
• Watch for symptoms of serotonin syndrome (confusion, fast heartbeat, muscle stiffness, seizures) and inform your doctor immediately if they occur.

Overdose

• Since Palozest Injection is administered by healthcare professionals in a hospital setting, accidental overdose is uncommon.
• Overdose with Palozest Injection can cause convulsions, gasping, pallor, cyanosis, and collapse. If an overdose occurs, your healthcare team will monitor you and provide supportive care to manage symptoms.

Missed a Dose

Interactions with other medicines

• Tell your doctor about all prescription as well as over-the-counter medicines, supplements, or herbal products you are currently taking or might take to avoid drug interactions with Palozest Injection.
• Medicines used to treat depression or migraines, such as selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors and serotonin and noradrenaline reuptake inhibitors, may increase the risk of serotonin syndrome if combined with Palozest Injection.
