- Oliza Injection is used to treat the following:
- Schizophrenia
- Treatment of mania
- Depression
- Agitation
Contraindications
- Do not take Oliza injection or take with caution:
- If you are allergic to Beta-lactam antibiotics
- If you are below 13 years of age
Side effects
- Side effects of Oliza injection are the following:
- Weight gain
- Drowsiness
- Orthostatic hypotension
- Raised plasma prolactin levels
- Dryness in mouth
- Perturbation
- Constipation
- Muscle immobility

Other General Warnings
- You notice weight gain. Weight gain can be managed by changing lifestyles by eating a healthy diet and exercising regularly.
- You have diabetes and notice a change in the blood glucose levels. Closely monitor your blood glucose levels.
- You notice muscular disorders, ticks or uncontrolled muscle movements, dizziness, fever,muscle weakness, etc. The injection may need to be replaced with a suitable alternative in such cases.
- You notice sudden mood changes or have suicidal thoughts after taking Oliza injection.
- You experience orthostatic hypotension. This Injection should be used with warning due to the inflated risk of hypotension. Patients should gradually stand up from a sitting or a lying position to avoid a sudden drop in blood pressure.
Directions for Use
- Take in a hospital or clinic under the supervision of a qualified healthcare professional.
- Follow all the instructions prescribed by your physician.
- Take this in the dosage and time as instructed by your doctor.
- Notify your healthcare professional if you have a known allergy to the medication.
- Inform the physician of your existing medications and medical illnesses.
- This medicine must not be issued to children below 13 years of age.

Interactions
Interactions with other medicines
- Oliza Inj interacts moderately with acarbose, which is an antidiabetic medicine.
- Oliza Inj interacts moderately with amlodipine, a long-acting calcium channel blocker used as an anti-hypertensive.
- Oliza Inj is strictly not recommended with Diazepam as it belongs to a class of medicines called benzodiazepines and is prescribed in the treatment of anxiety.
- Avoid taking Oliza Inj with Tramadol, a pain killer, as they do not go well together.
