Medical Description
O2 tablet is an antibiotic medicine. It is used to treat urinary tract infections, respiratory tract infections, and diarrhea caused by bacteria and parasites, such as amoebas. It is a combination medicine containing ofloxacin and ornidazole as active ingredients. O2 tablet works by killing the bacteria responsible for the infection.
O2 tablets must be taken as prescribed by a doctor. Do not stop taking this medicine if you feel better within a few days. Always finish the course of antibiotic medicine for effective treatment.
You should also be aware that antibiotics are only effective against bacterial infections and not for viral infections like the flu or a cold. Using an antibiotic unnecessarily can make it ineffective for future infections.
Before starting treatment with an O2 tablet, inform your doctor if you are pregnant, planning to become pregnant, or breastfeeding, and provide your detailed medical history.
Some other tablets containing ofloxacin and ornidazole are Zenflox Oz, Ornof, Orni O and Nor Metrogyl Plus.
