Medical Description

Orni O tablet is an antibiotic used to treat diarrhoea in adults. It is a combination medicine containing ofloxacin and ornidazole. It works by inhibiting the growth of infection-causing organisms. Take it as the prescribed dose and for the prescribed duration and never miss or skip a dose. Orni O tablet should not be taken by children below 18 years of age. Always apply sunscreen lotion while stepping out in direct sunlight. Inform your doctor if you have any medical condition and also if you are on any medication. • Orni O tablet works against the infection-causing bacteria as a combined mechanism of its two components. Ofloxacin inhibits the action of enzymes in bacteria responsible for DNA replication, repair and recombination and thus inhibits their growth. Ornidazole gets converted into an active form in the body which interacts with bacterial DNA, inhibits protein synthesis and leads to cell death.
