Medical Description

Nextril Tablet is an 'anti-depressant medicine' primarily used to treat depression and depression-related anxiety. Depression is a mood illness that mainly impacts one's daily life. Nextril Tablet contains Tofisopam, a benzodiazepine used to treat depression. It works by boosting the action of GABA (gamma-amino-butyric acid), a chemical messenger in the brain that regulates the excessive and abnormal activity of nerve cells in the brain. As a result, stress is reduced, a sense of well-being is created, anxiety is relieved, sleep is improved, and energy levels are increased, allowing you to do daily activities. Follow your doctor's instructions for taking Nextril Tablet. Depending on your medical condition, you should take Nextril Tablet as long as your doctor has recommended it. Loss of appetite, dry mouth, nausea, insomnia (difficulty sleeping), and headache are possible side effects. Precautions and Warnings

Pregnancy

Nextril Tablet is a Category D pregnancy risk medication that is not recommended for use by pregnant women. Because Nextril Tablet can negatively affect the unborn child (foetus), consult your doctor before consuming the tablet.

Breast Feeding

Unless absolutely required, Nextril tablets should not be used by breastfeeding women. Before using Nextril tablets, talk to your doctor about all of the dangers and benefits. Your doctor may advise you to stop taking medicine or stop nursing based on your clinical situation.

Driving

Dizziness, drowsiness, and visual abnormalities are common side effects of Nextril Tablet, which may impair their ability to drive or operate machinery. So, if you feel sleepy or dizzy after taking Nextril Tablet, don't drive or operate heavy machinery.

Alcohol

Directions for Use

An overdose could also lead to Grade I or Grade II coma.

Missed a Dose
