Uses
- As per CDSCO, Mycolon C Tablet is used to treat irritable bowel syndrome (reduces symptoms such as anxiety and tension associated with IBS, abdominal pain, bloating, flatulence and abdominal muscle spasms).
Contraindications
- If you have any allergic reaction to any of the ingredients of Mycolon C Tablets.
- If you use any treatments for anti-seizure (fits), Mycolon C Tablets will worsen the illness.
- If you have been using certain antidepressant tablets.
- If you are pregnant or planning to concieve.
- If you are breastfeeding/lactating.
- If you have a severe liver or kidney illness.
- If you were diagnosed with paralytic ileus (when there is no regular movements of the intestinal muscles).
- If you have got a history of drug or alcohol abuse.

- You are an older patient over the age of 65, dose monitoring is required. This medicine may stay in the body for a long time due to slow metabolism, which can cause adverse effects.
- You are using other ayurvedic medication, herbal products, or supplements; they can interfere with Mycolon C tablets.
- You are eating highly processed or fried food; they can worsen inflammatory bowel disease symptoms.
- You use any medication that causes drowsiness along with Mycolon C tablets; they can increase the sleepiness and dizziness.
- You are noticing heartburn or trying to use antacid pills for it. Do not take both these medicines together without informing your doctor.
Directions for Use
- Take Mycolon C Tablets exactly in the dose and duration advised by your doctor.
- Try to take it before consuming food.
- Do not exceed the dosage of Mycolon C Tablets, even if you cannot feel its effects.
- Take the tablet with a glass of water.
- Do not break the tablet or chew Myoclonic C tablet.
- Do not abruptly stop taking Myoclonic medication, as it can have side effects.
- Do not use Mycolon C Tablets with other medications without informing your doctor.

Interactions with other medicines
- If you are using other medications like antidepressants or antipsychotics with Mycolon C Tablets, it can cause adverse effects.
- If you are using other medicines that induce drowsiness like opioid pain relievers and antihistamines (allergy medicine) with Mycolon C Tablets, it can cause increased drowsiness and slow your breathing.
- Studies have shown that Mycolon C Tablets can interact with certain antacids. They should not be used at the same time. Consult your doctor for the appropriate treatment.
Interactions with food items
- Try not to consume deep-fried food, fast food or food that is hard to digest. All of these foods can trigger the symptoms of IBS.
- Also, avoid intake of excess coffee or products with caffeine. They can interfere with the effectiveness of this medicine.
