Medical Description

Mycolon C Tablet is used for the management of irritable bowel syndrome (IBS). Managing the symptoms like abdominal pain, abdominal muscle spasms, and flatulence, are some of the uses of Mycolon C Tablet. It is also beneficial for lowering anxiety associated with IBS and producing a calming effect. It is composed of chlordiazepoxide and mebeverine. It increases a chemical substance’s activity in the body which reduces the overactivity of excited nerves. This provides comfort from stomach pain and cramps. Inflammatory bowel syndrome is a chronic condition that causes inflammation of the large intestines. Mycolon C Tablet helps in treating the symptoms of IBS. It provides relief from stomach discomfort, promotes easy gas passing, and reduces bloating. It also prevents intestinal spasms. It can also be used to treat abdominal pain associated with other conditions like peptic ulcers, diarrhoea, enterocolitis, constipation, etc. Take Mycolon C tablets precisely as the doctor prescribes the medicine. Do not give them to children below 18 years of age without consulting a doctor. It has the potential to be a habit-forming medicine; so the dose should be carefully monitored. Do not stop using Mycolon C Tablet suddenly; the dosage needs to be slowly tapered.

  • As per CDSCO, Mycolon C Tablet is used to treat irritable bowel syndrome (reduces symptoms such as anxiety and tension associated with IBS, abdominal pain, bloating, flatulence and abdominal muscle spasms).

  • If you have any allergic reaction to any of the ingredients of Mycolon C Tablets.
  • If you use any treatments for anti-seizure (fits), Mycolon C Tablets will worsen the illness.
  • If you have been using certain antidepressant tablets.
  • If you are pregnant or planning to concieve.
  • If you are breastfeeding/lactating.
  • If you have a severe liver or kidney illness.
  • If you were diagnosed with paralytic ileus (when there is no regular movements of the intestinal muscles).
  • If you have got a history of drug or alcohol abuse.
