• If you are allergic Levocetirizine, Cetirizine or Montelukast or any other ingredient of Montel LC.
• If you have kidney problems, undergoing dialysis or kidney failure.
• You should not give this medicine to your child with existing kidney-related problems.

• Drowsiness
• Rash
• Fever
• Indigestion

Other General Warnings

• You are taking medicines containing steroids such as Prednisone and Prednisolone.
• You are taking painkillers like aspirin as it can increase the risk of asthma.
• You experience a rash or breathing difficulty after taking this medicine.
• You are suffering from psychiatric illness and often experience abnormal behaviours.
• You are suffering from a genetic disorder called phenylketonuria.
• You are not able to empty the bladder or have difficulty in urination.
• This medicine is not meant for relief from acute asthma. Use your inhaler for asthma relief in an acute attack.

• Store this medicine below 30°C.
• Try to protect it from light and moisture.
• Keep it away from the reach of children.

• Montel LC tablet is an anti-allergic medicine. It is used for the management of symptoms of allergic rhinitis.
• This medicine may cause dizziness or drowsiness in some individuals. Hence, if you experience any dizziness, then driving or operating heavy materials should be avoided.
• Montel LC is not meant for relief from acute asthma. Use your inhaler for asthma relief in an acute attack.
• This medicine can cause anxiety, aggression, lack of sleep and suicidal thoughts. In case you experience any of these, immediately inform your doctor.
• Before starting Montel LC tablets, inform your doctor if you are pregnant, planning on becoming pregnant, or breastfeeding.
• Also, inform your doctor about all other medicines that you take and your complete medical history.

How Does It Work?

• Montel LC works by the combined action of its two ingredients, Montelukast and Levocetirizine.
• Montelukast blocks certain natural substances called Leukotrienes which may cause allergies. It reduces swelling, relaxes airways and helps to make breathing easier.
• Levocetirizine blocks Histamine, a natural substance, which is produced by the body during allergic reactions.

Interactions with other medicines

• Montel LC tablet is a combination of two medicines. Any interaction which is seen with any of these two components when taken alone may occur with this combination.
• Tell your doctor if you are taking medicines used to treat fits or epilepsy like Phenytoin, medicines for brain-related disorders such as Phenobarbital, Anti-TB medicine such as Rifampicin. Any other medicines, supplements or herbals if you are taking or might take should be informed to your doctor to avoid any possible interaction.
