Minolast-FX Tablet
Description
Minolast Fx tablet is an anti-allergic medication used to manage the symptoms of allergic rhinitis, such as a runny or stuffy nose, sneezing, itching, watery eyes, and other related allergic symptoms. It contains a combination of two active ingredients: montelukast and fexofenadine. This medicine works by blocking the production and action of chemical mediators that trigger allergic reactions in the body. It is essential to take Minolast Fx tablet exactly as prescribed by your doctor, following the recommended dosage and duration. You may take the tablet with or without food. For optimal results, it is best to take it at the same time each day. Potential side effects include dizziness, drowsiness, or headaches.
Montelukast works by blocking the action of leukotrienes, a type of allergic mediator responsible for causing allergy symptoms. By binding to leukotriene receptors, it helps to relieve these symptoms. Fexofenadine works by blocking the action of histamine, a natural substance your body produces during an allergic reaction.
The use of Minolast Fx tablet is specifically for the treatment of allergic rhinitis in adults. It is not indicated for use in acute asthma attacks or for treating coughs or throat infections. You should not take this medicine if you are allergic to montelukast, fexofenadine, or any of its other ingredients. Be cautious if you have a history of blood disorders, heart-related issues, or certain brain-related problems, as this medicine may interact with these conditions. It's also important to avoid this medication if you have an allergy to aspirin or other painkillers.
Common side effects of Minolast Fx tablet can include nausea, diarrhoea, vomiting, skin rash, flu-like symptoms, and headaches. Typically, these side effects are temporary and should decrease over time. If you are concerned about any side effects or if they persist, you should contact your doctor immediately. If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, it's crucial to consult your doctor before using this medicine. Always follow your doctor's instructions for dosage and duration, and avoid consuming alcohol while on this medication, as it may increase drowsiness.
