Mefast suspension contains two active components Mefenamic acid and Paracetamol. It belongs to the non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) class of medications (NSAIDs). In both infants and todd
lers, it helps to reduce body temperature (fever) and discomfort and inflammation (redness and swelling). Pain, inflammation, migraine headaches, period pain, excessive bleeding during periods, muscle pain, tooth pain, joint pain, pain after surgery, ear pain, fever, flu, osteoarthritis, and rheumatoid arthritis are all conditions that can be treated with Mefast suspension. Do not exceed the recommended dose in a 24-hour period. It should be stored at room temperature, away from direct sunlight and moisture. If you experience any severe adverse effects or have taken more than the prescribed dose, contact your doctor immediately.

How Does It Work?

Other general Interactions
- Taking a Mefast suspension with warfarin is not recommended because co-administration of these two medications can make bleeding more likely
- Avoid taking Mefast suspension and anti-sickness medications like domperidone, and metoclopramide, as they have inhibitory action
- Ketoconazole with Mefast suspension can cause intensified side effects, which can be fatal
- Do not take a Mefast suspension with any antidepressant medicine since it includes phenylephrine, which is known to interact negatively with antidepressants
- Monoamine oxidase inhibitors can magnify the side effects of Mefast suspension
- Antiepileptic medications can cause adverse responses when administered with Mefast suspension
- Mefast suspension and high cholesterol-lowering medicines like cholestyramine may interact leading to serious reactions
