It is a corticosteroid medication used for suppressing the immune system and decreasing the inflammation. The generic name of Medrol 8mg Tab is Methylprednisolone.
Uses of Medrol 8mg Tab
Medrol 8mg Tab uses are for treating lung diseases, joint diseases, skin diseases, intestinal diseases and multiple sclerosis.
Contraindications of Medrol 8mg Tab
- Allergic reaction to Methylprednisolone.

- Increased blood pressure.

It is not advisable to have the course of medicine while breastfeeding as that may pass into the milk, which might be harmful to the foetus.
Can I drive if I have consumed Medrol 8mg Tab?
After taking this medicine, you may feel sleepiness, tiresome and less alert than usual. Hence, avoid the consumption of drug before driving.

How Does It Work?
The anti-inflammatory actions of medicine are believed to involve phospholipase A2 inhibitory proteins, lipocortins, which control the biosynthesis of potent mediators of inflammation such as prostaglandins and leukotrienes. It then further stops the pain and swelling.
Directions for Use of Medrol 8mg Tab
The dose is subject to change based on the effect, condition of the patient and tolerance. Do not take this medicine in quantities smaller or larger than recommended. This medicine is strictly advised to be administered at the same particular time every day and it is supposed to swallowed (not crushed or chewed) whole with water. The medicine should not be abruptly withdrawn.

Medrol 8mg Tab overdose may lead to change(s) in mental status leading to agitation (psychosis), burning or itching skin, fits, deafness, depression, dry skin, high blood pressure, increased chances of infection, muscle weakness, nausea and vomiting, nervousness, sleepiness. There can be swelling in lower legs, ankles, or feet, weak bones (osteoporosis) and bone fractures, weakness, etc. Few of your existing health conditions such as acid reflux, ulcers, and diabetes may worsen.
Missed a Dose
Complete the scheduled course of medicine as prescribed by a medical practitioner. If the prescribed dose is missed, take the drug as soon as recall it. But, if it is time to administer the next treatment dose, then skip the missed dose. Avoid taking an extra dose than prescription.
