Atorvastatin is a type of statin and acts as a lipid-lowering medicine. It is used to lower the level of bad cholesterol/triglycerides that increase the level of good cholesterol in the blood.

How Does It Work?

Atorvastatin ceases the production of bad cholesterol in the liver by blocking the activity of HMG-CoA reductase enzyme.
