Laxivent Strip Of 10 Tablets

• If you are allergic to sodium picosulfate or any other ingredient of Laxivent Tablet.
• You have dehydration.
• If you have a bowel condition called ileus (blockage in the intestine) or inflammatory bowel disease (ulcerative colitis or Crohn's disease).
• If you have a blockage, perforation/holes in your stomach or intestine.
• If you have any kind of serious abdominal condition like appendicitis.
• You have stomach pain with nausea, vomiting and/or fever.
• You have inflammation of the bowel (small and large intestine).
• You have bleeding from the rectum which is not yet diagnosed.
• You have liver failure.

• Stomach/intestinal pain
• Cramps
• Diarrhoea

Other General Warnings

• You are using this medicine for a long time.
• You have recently had stomach/intestinal surgery.
• You have kidney or heart disorders.
• You have inflammatory bowel disease.
• You are taking any other medicines orally.

• Use this medicine exactly as recommended by the doctor.
• Swallow it as a whole with a glass of water.
• Do not cut, break or chew the medicine.
• Do not take more than the prescribed dose.

• Store Laxivent Tablet in a cool and dry place away from direct sunlight.
• Keep out of reach of children and pets.

Overdose

• Symptoms of overdose of Laxivent Tablet include diarrhoea, stomach cramps and electrolyte imbalance.
• If you think you have taken too much of this medicine, contact your doctor immediately or visit the nearest hospital.

Missed a Dose

• If you missed any dose of Laxivent Tablet, take it as soon as you remember.
• If it's time for your next dose, then skip the missed dose and continue with the regular dosing schedule.
• Do not take a double dose to compensate for the missed one.

How Does It Work?

• Laxivent Tablet increases the muscle movements in the bowel which helps to move the stool through the body.
• It also softens the stool, decreases transit time and allows easy elimination from the body.

Interactions with other medicines

• Some medicines can affect the way Laxivent Tablet works or this medicine itself can reduce the effectiveness of other medicines taken at the same time.
• Tell your doctor about all medicines, supplements or herbals you are currently taking or might take to avoid any possible interaction.
• The use of diuretics (hydrochlorothiazide, furosemide, spironolactone) or adrenocorticosteroids (mineralocorticoids, glucocorticoids) with Laxivent Tablet may increase the risk of imbalance of salts in the body.
• Care should be taken when antibiotics are taken along with this medicine as this may reduce the laxative effect of this medicine.
• If you are taking non-steroidal anti-inflammatory medicines like aspirin (for treating fever, pain and inflammation), medicines for the management of mental disorders (like tricyclic antidepressants, selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors, antipsychotic medicines) and anti-epileptic medicines like carbamazepine, the risk for water retention and electrolyte imbalance may increase.
