Medical Description
L Hist Mont Tablet is a combination medicine that helps treat allergic rhinitis and related symptoms, such as a runny or blocked nose, sneezing, watery eyes, and itching. Allergic rhinitis is often caused by exposure to dust, pollen, animal dander, or mould, and this tablet effectively relieves associated discomfort.
This medicine contains montelukast and levocetirizine as its active ingredients. Levocetirizine blocks histamine, a chemical responsible for allergy symptoms, while montelukast blocks leukotrienes, which cause inflammation and airway swelling. Together, they provide comprehensive relief by reducing both nasal and eye-related symptoms, helping you breathe more comfortably.
You can take L-Hist-Mont Tablet with or without food, as advised by your doctor. For best results, it should be taken at the same time each day. Do not stop taking the medicine suddenly without consulting your doctor, even if you feel better, as your allergy symptoms may return.
Like any other medicine, L Hist Mont Tablet may cause mild side effects such as headache, drowsiness, dry mouth, or stomach discomfort. These usually go away on their own. However, if you experience any severe reactions, such as difficulty breathing, swelling, or a rash, seek medical help immediately.
Before starting this medicine, inform your doctor if you are pregnant, planning pregnancy, or breastfeeding. Also, please share details of any other medications, supplements, or herbal remedies you are using, as some may interact with L-Hist-Mont. Always follow your doctor’s prescribed dose and never exceed it for faster relief.
