Medical Description
Kryxana 200 mg tablet is an anticancer medicine. It contains ribociclib, which is a CDK (cyclin-dependent kinase) inhibitor. Kryxana works by inhibiting the growth and spread of cancer cells. It is usually prescribed for the treatment of hormone receptor (HR) positive, HER 2 negative advanced or metastatic breast cancer and early stage breast cancer with high risk of recurrence.
It is given in combination with an aromatase inhibitor or fulvestrant as part of hormonal anticancer therapy. It is a prescription medicine and must be taken as advised by the doctor.
Inform your doctor if you have any pre-existing medical conditions before using this medication. Inform your doctor about all medications you are taking. Also, inform your doctor if you are pregnant, planning to become pregnant, or are breastfeeding.

- You are taking any other medications
- You are pregnant or plan to become pregnant
- You get any side effects or allergic reactions after taking this medicine
- You have a fever, a sore throat, any infection, or a low level of white blood cells
- Do not breastfeed during treatment and for at least 3 weeks after the last dose
- Use contraception during the treatment and for at least 3 weeks after the last dose
- Before beginning Kisqali treatment, liver function tests should be performed. After starting treatment, liver function should be monitored.
- Kryxana 200 should not be used in patients who already have or are at high risk of developing QTc prolongation.
- The use of Kryxana 200 may increase blood creatinine levels. If blood creatinine levels rise while on treatment, a further evaluation of kidney health is recommended to rule out kidney problems.
- Do not take Kryxana if you are allergic to peanuts or soya as it may increase risk of severe allergic reaction.
Directions for Use
- Kryxana should be taken as directed by your treating doctor.
- Swallow it whole with a glass of water; do not cut, break, or chew the medicine.
- Do not change dose or stop treatment on your own. Discuss with your doctor.
- It can be taken with or without food.
- During treatment, do not take grapefruit, grapefruit-containing foods, or grapefruit juice, as they block the CYP3A enzyme responsible for breaking down Kryxana. This can change how drug is processed in your body and increase the level of drug in blood causing adverse effects.
- It is best to take it at a fixed time for optimal results.
- You should not consume it more than your doctor has prescribed.

- Store at 20-25°C
- Store in the original packaging to protect from moisture and away from sunlight
- Ensure that it is out of sight and reach of minors
- Do not use the tablets after the expiry date
