Ivabrad 7.5 tablet is an anti-anginal medicine. It contains ivabradine as the active ingredient. Ivabrad 7.5 tablet is used to manage heart-related chest pain (angina pectoris) in adults. Angina occu
rs when there is a reduced blood supply to the heart. Symptoms may include a tight pain or discomfort in the chest, radiating towards the neck or arm area. Ivabrad 7.5 tablet is also used to manage chronic heart failure. Chronic heart failure is a heart disorder where the heart is unable to pump enough blood to the rest of the body. This medicine works by reducing the heart rate, which decreases the heart's oxygen demand. This helps to control and reduce the number of angina attacks. Take this medicine in the exact dose and duration as recommended by your doctor. Do not take more than the prescribed dose. Do not stop taking this medicine on your own. Before starting Ivabrad 7.5 tablet, inform your doctor if you are pregnant, planning on becoming pregnant, breastfeeding and about your complete medical history. This medicine is not recommended for use in children and adolescents under 18 years of age.

- If you have any heart disease or low blood pressure.
- If you have any liver problems.
- If you are pregnant, planning to get pregnant or breastfeeding.
- If you are using medicines to treat your fungal infection (ketoconazole, itraconazole, etc), using antibiotics (clarithromycin, erythromycin), medicines to treat HIV infection (nelfinavir, ritonavir, etc), medicines to treat psychiatric illness like nefazodone or medicines to treat heart conditions (diltiazem, verapamil). - You need to be cautious while using water pills like hydrochlorothiazide, indapamide, furosemide and bumetanide along with this medicine, as they may cause reduced heartbeats.
- Ivabrad 7.5 tablet should not be used along with medicines like ketoconazole (anti-fungal), ritonavir (used in HIV infection), clarithromycin (antibiotic), nefazodone (used to treat mental health) and diltiazem, verapamil (used to treat high blood pressure and heart diseases)....
- Medicines like fluconazole, rifampicin, phenytoin, omeprazole, simvastatin, amlodipine, digoxin and warfarin should be used cautiously along with this medicine.
