Interactions with other medicines
- Azathioprine inhibits the action of warfarin or acenocoumarol
- Azathioprine reverses the effects of curare, tubocurarine and pancuronium
- Concomitant use of infliximab decreases white blood cell count and increases the levels of 6-thioguanine nucleotide, an active metabolite of azathioprine
- Concomitant use of methotrexate increases blood levels of azathioprine
- Concomitant use of ACE inhibitors can cause haematological disorders
